  • To review and benchmark the cleaning services following the amalgamation of two existing departments into one.
  • Have a detailed look into the current operation and its practices and present recommendation for change where appropriate.
  • Undertake a staff engagement survey to understand work satisfaction
  • Develop a new hybrid specification for all parts of the campus.

The results

  • A detailed review of a selected number of buildings allowed us to deliver clear recommendation with regards to improving the service delivery using our GAP analysis.
  • The benchmarking of the services was able to highlight and recommend where service innovations would benefit the operational delivery
  • The staff engagement survey allowed us to identify existing staff issues and positives.
  • To develop a university specific Hybrid specification that will fulfill the demanding requirements of cleaning across the campus.
  • The specification will be both in-put and out-put which will allow for daily hygiene cleans and deploy a clean as used element in some academic and office areas.
  • To assist the university with the introduction of the new specification and the training requirements that will be needed to ensure a comprehensive roll-out.
