SMART action plan now in place to develop efficiency improvements

The challenge

  • To support Muir Group carry out a review of the current cleaning service arrangements, including service specification, inspection and monitoring document.
  • To provide support to assess and demonstrate if value for money in service delivery was being achieved for residents and make recommendations for improvement.

The solution

Sitemark completed a detailed desktop analysis of relevant documentation, policies, and procedures, and benchmarked costs. Additional documentation was developed, including a hybrid cleaning specification, to support the group in delivering a Value for Money service to its residents.

The results

Sitemark provides independent best practice benchmarking of facilities management services, helping clients improve standards, reduce costs and ensure best value for money. 

  • Established Muir Group can be confident it is delivering a Value for Money Service to its' residents.
  • Recommendations and documentation developed will ensure Muir Group service providers are compliant and able to provide a best in class service to its' residents.
  • It was concluded re-tendering the cleaning service would not be a viable option at the current time.
  • Results of benchmarking service provider costs demonstrate that Muir Group can be confident service provider costs are competitive.
  • A SMART action plan was developed to direct the Muir Groups service providers to areas where efficiency improvements could be made.
